All BASIS Curriculum Schools in the United States, China and now Thailand are accredited by AdvancED, under the seal of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditations and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
AdvancED is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. AdvancED was created through a 2006 merger of the Pre-K-12 divisions of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI)—and expanded through the addition of the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) in 2011. The organization serves as a trusted partner to 34,000 schools and school systems—employing more than four million educators and enrolling more than 20 million students—across the United States and 70 other nations.
We received system accreditation from AdvancED (NCA CASI) in June 2012. System accreditation recognizes that increasing student achievement involves more than improving instruction. It is a result of how well all the parts of the education system—the community, school, and classroom—work together to meet the needs of students.
As a result of our system accreditation, BASIS International School Bangkok will be automatically recommended for accreditation by AdvancED upon submission of an initial application.
